Patricia Hernandez
Atlanta, GA
Patricia Hernandez is an Atlanta-based contemporary artist, muralist, and founder of PATL.SV whose work explores migration, cultural memory, mental health, motherhood, and collective identity through emotionally grounded visual storytelling. As a Latine Indigenous diaspora artist, Hernandez creates figurative paintings and public artworks that examine resilience, belonging, and human connection across personal and communal experiences.
Drawing from her Salvadoran roots, Mexican visual traditions, and her children’s Puerto Rican heritage, Hernandez develops a vibrant visual language built through layered color, symbolic imagery, and expressive figurative forms. Her work frequently exists within public space, where she views art as a shared cultural experience capable of fostering visibility, recognition, and dialogue across communities.
Alongside murals, exhibitions, and commissioned works throughout Georgia and beyond, Hernandez has collaborated with organizations including Midtown Alliance, Living Walls, Mailchimp, Emory Hospital, and Fair Fight. She is also the founder of Nuestra Creación, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting Latinx, Indigenous, and BIPOC artists through advocacy, opportunity, and community-centered creative development.
