Crushing It is a solo exhibition by Thomas Arthur Schaefer presented by The Artifice in Atlanta, GA.
Imitative or consciously derivative processes in art making are interesting to me. Especially when the output of that process falls back into the same acquisition landscape it was lifted from. With Crushing It, I was fascinated with transfiguring something common and mass produced. To manufacture something with minimal rules around intent and then see what iconic forms could be produced.
