Serena Simpson is an Atlanta-based stained glass artist, educator, and multidisciplinary maker whose work blends traditional glass craftsmanship with whimsical storytelling, surreal imagery, kinetic sculpture, and experimental assemblage. Operating under the name Serena Simpson Glass, she creates handcrafted stained glass works that transform light, nostalgia, and found materials into immersive visual experiences.

Known for custom stained glass panels, illuminated sculptural lamps, glow cubes, and intricate decorative works, Simpson frequently incorporates unconventional materials and playful pop culture references into her practice. Her work balances technical precision with imaginative experimentation, often merging vintage aesthetics, horror iconography, steampunk elements, and handcrafted ornamentation into deeply personal visual narratives.

Beyond glasswork, Simpson also explores altered and ethically sourced taxidermy sculpture, combining preserved materials with lighting, mechanics, and subtle motion to create eerie yet emotionally resonant installations. Deeply involved in Atlanta’s maker and arts communities, she regularly teaches workshops through ATL Glassworks while continuing to contribute to exhibitions, public commissions, and collaborative creative projects throughout the region.
