Randy Lee Dickerson is an Atlanta-based painter, designer, and creative director whose multidisciplinary practice blends abstraction, realism, surrealism, and narrative-driven imagery through an ongoing exploration of memory, curiosity, and visual storytelling. Originally from rural southeast Alabama, Dickerson developed an early fascination with observation, imagination, cartoons, nature, and the transformative power of drawing and painting.

Before returning fully to fine art, Dickerson spent years working in design and creative leadership roles, collaborating with internationally recognized brands and award-winning creative teams. While building a successful career in design—including receiving major industry honors such as an Emmy and a Communication Arts Interactive Annual Award of Excellence—he continued developing a deeply personal studio practice centered on painting and experimentation.

His paintings frequently merge pop culture, nostalgia, flora, fauna, found objects, and surreal visual fragments into layered compositions that investigate interconnectedness, memory, and discovery. Balancing intuitive exploration with refined visual problem-solving, Dickerson approaches art as an evolving pursuit of creative potential—one rooted equally in imagination, observation, and lifelong curiosity.
