Nate Frost
Atlanta, GA
Nate Frost is an Atlanta-based artist whose charcoal drawings, paintings, and murals explore gothic narratives, dreamlike imagery, memory, and the psychological tension between beauty and decay. Working primarily with charcoal, carbon pencil, and layered painting techniques on wood panels and mixed surfaces, Frost creates haunting figurative compositions filled with atmosphere, shadow, and emotional ambiguity.
A graduate of Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA in Illustration, Frost has developed a visual language rooted in ghostly imagery, melancholic symbolism, and surreal storytelling. His work frequently blends delicate rendering with darker themes drawn from mythology, mortality, and subconscious experience, creating scenes that feel simultaneously intimate and otherworldly.
Beyond his studio practice, Frost has played an active role within Atlanta’s contemporary arts community through his work with ABV Gallery, where he has contributed as a curator, gallery director, and project manager. Alongside exhibitions and large-scale mural work throughout the city, he continues to build a body of work centered on memory, emotional resonance, and the poetic qualities of darkness and transformation.
