Mónica Alexander
Atlanta, GA
Mónica Alexander is a Texas-born illustrator, muralist, and designer whose vibrant figurative work blends Mexican cultural influence, animation aesthetics, and contemporary mural practice through bold color, expressive linework, and emotionally charged imagery. Based in Atlanta since graduating from Savannah College of Art and Design, Alexander has become a recognizable presence within the city’s mural and contemporary illustration scene.
Her work is known for its stylized feminine figures, dramatic eyelashes, floral motifs, and saturated palettes, drawing inspiration from her heritage as well as visual influences including Sailor Moon and Studio Ghibli films. Combining softness with graphic intensity, Alexander creates murals and illustrations that feel simultaneously playful, emotional, and visually commanding.
In addition to large-scale public murals, Alexander works across illustration, branding, and commercial design projects, contributing to Atlanta’s evolving visual culture through gallery exhibitions, collaborations, and independent creative work. Through both public and studio practice, she continues to build immersive visual worlds rooted in femininity, storytelling, and contemporary pop-influenced aesthetics.
