Meghan Mills
Atlanta, GA
Meghan Mills is an Atlanta-based contemporary artist whose atmospheric oil paintings explore memory, emotion, and the shifting relationship between landscape and personal experience. Influenced by Impressionism and elements of magical realism, Mills creates layered environments that blur the boundaries between observation, recollection, and emotional atmosphere.
Working primarily in oil painting while also incorporating watercolor and mural-based practices, Mills balances spontaneity and control through soft transitions of light, texture, and color. Her work frequently captures quiet and fleeting moments within natural environments, transforming familiar landscapes into dreamlike spaces filled with stillness, intimacy, and subtle emotional resonance.
Originally from the Eastern Shore of Maryland, Mills earned a BFA from Carnegie Mellon University with a focus on conceptual art, installation, and sculpture. After years working within visual merchandising and creative production, she transitioned fully into painting and continues to exhibit and develop commissions throughout Atlanta and beyond.
