Megan Watters is a Georgia-born contemporary mixed media artist, muralist, and creative producer whose work blends painting, collage, assemblage, and large-scale public art through vibrant color, botanical imagery, and material experimentation. After spending a decade working in New York City within fabrication, theater, film, and fashion production, Watters returned to Atlanta where she continues to expand a multidisciplinary practice rooted in community, sustainability, and creative reuse.

Her work frequently explores organic forms, layered textures, and environmental themes through compositions that balance bold visual energy with tactile materiality. Drawing from her background in fabrication and scenic production, Watters approaches both murals and studio works with a strong sensitivity to scale, spatial interaction, and handcrafted construction.

Before focusing fully on her independent artistic practice, Watters worked as a painter and project manager on major fabrication projects including the Macy’s Holiday Windows in New York City. She was also the 2015 Schwartz Artist in Residence at Emory University and remains actively engaged with Atlanta’s arts community through murals, exhibitions, and collaborative sustainability-focused initiatives.
