Mauricio Salmon is an Atlanta-based artist, illustrator, and graphic designer originally from Lima, Peru, whose work blends traditional illustration, digital media, animation influences, and contemporary pop culture aesthetics. Working across painting, graphic design, and character-based illustration, Salmon creates vibrant visual narratives shaped by fantasy, comics, science fiction, and animation culture.

A graduate of Ringling College of Art and Design with a BFA in Illustration, Salmon’s work often merges polished commercial design sensibilities with imaginative worldbuilding and fan-inspired reinterpretations of iconic franchises and characters. Drawing influence from animation, fantasy art, and graphic storytelling, his practice balances technical precision with playful visual exploration.

Alongside his studio practice, he works professionally in graphic design while continuing to expand a multidisciplinary creative practice rooted in illustration, storytelling, and contemporary visual culture.
