Laura Stoeppelwerth is an Atlanta-based painter and mixed media artist whose work explores identity, perception, and emotional narrative through abstraction, figurative studies, and expressive use of color. Working primarily in oil painting while incorporating charcoal and mixed media elements, Stoeppelwerth investigates how fundamental visual components—line, color, and shape—can communicate deeper psychological and symbolic meaning.

Influenced by Fauvism, medieval manuscripts, color field painting, and classical sculpture, her work balances historical reference with contemporary emotional inquiry. Through abstraction and layered imagery, Stoeppelwerth creates compositions that examine the relationship between the self, performance, and the act of looking, often blurring the boundaries between representation and interpretation.

Currently pursuing studies in painting at Savannah College of Art and Design, Stoeppelwerth has participated in exhibitions and residency programs including the Arteles Creative Center in Finland. Working under the visual identity Unruly Beauty, she continues to develop a practice rooted in experimentation, emotional complexity, and painterly exploration.
