Laura Catherine Harman
Atlanta, GA
Laura Catherine Harman is an Atlanta-area mixed media artist, photographer, and public art creator whose work centers on joy, emotional connection, memory, and community engagement. Working across resin, painting, photography, digital media, and sculptural objects, Harman creates colorful and heartfelt works rooted in the belief that art can serve as a direct act of human connection.
Her practice spans a wide range of mediums including acrylics, oils, watercolor, custom-painted skateboard decks, resin works, and public installations. Through vibrant palettes and approachable symbolism, Harman explores themes of care, resilience, nostalgia, and collective participation, often inviting viewers to physically encounter and interact with her work within everyday environments.
Harman is especially recognized for her ongoing Lost and Found Hearts initiative, a community-driven public art project in which she creates and hides heart-shaped artworks throughout the Atlanta area for others to discover. Through both independent and municipal public art projects—including installations connected to the City of Smyrna—she continues to build work that emphasizes accessibility, kindness, and shared emotional experience through art.
