Jason Drakeford is an Atlanta-based creative director, filmmaker, motion designer, educator, and author whose work explores immersive storytelling, emerging technologies, and contemporary media practice. With more than two decades of experience across film, motion graphics, design, and interactive media, Drakeford creates projects that merge narrative experimentation with technological innovation.

A leading voice in virtual and augmented reality storytelling, Drakeford has developed documentaries, visual systems, and immersive experiences for organizations including The New York Times, PBS, ESPN, and Scientific American. His work often focuses on human-centered storytelling through documentary filmmaking, motion design, and cross-platform visual communication.

Drakeford is also the author of Get a Creative Job, a guide for emerging creatives navigating careers within the design and media industries. As a Professor of Practice at Georgia State University’s Creative Media Industries Institute, he teaches immersive design, cross-media storytelling, and professional portfolio development while continuing to mentor the next generation of artists, filmmakers, and creative technologists.
