Chris Hamer is a Marietta, Georgia-based comic illustrator, painter, tattooer, and mixed-media artist whose work merges street art aesthetics, pop culture, and found-object assemblage through his creative moniker URBNPOP. Drawing inspiration from urban decay, comics, graffiti culture, and overlooked materials, Hamer transforms discarded objects and unconventional surfaces into bold, humorous, and highly stylized works of art.

Blending illustration, painting, and sculptural reuse, his practice embraces the energy of underground visual culture while celebrating imperfection, texture, and reinvention. Hamer’s work often balances playful satire with gritty visual storytelling, creating pieces that feel equally connected to street-level creativity and contemporary pop expression.

Over the past two decades, Hamer’s work has appeared in galleries, festivals, publications, television, film, comics, and independent markets throughout the Southeast and beyond. Through URBNPOP, he continues to build a dynamic body of work rooted in originality, accessibility, and the creative transformation of forgotten objects.
