Benjamin Galland
St. Simons Island, GA
Benjamin Galland is a photographer, filmmaker, and conservation-focused visual storyteller based on St. Simons Island. Raised along the southeastern coast of Georgia, Galland developed an early connection to the region’s landscapes, waterways, and ecological systems—subjects that continue to shape his photographic and cinematic practice today.
Combining environmental awareness with refined visual composition, Galland creates imagery that moves beyond documentation to encourage reflection on preservation, place, and the relationship between people and the natural world. His work frequently explores coastal environments, conservation efforts, tourism, food culture, and the atmospheric qualities of light within Southern landscapes.
A graduate of Berry College with a degree in Visual Communications, Galland later co-founded Volo Project, a visual storytelling studio focused on photography and videography for brands and organizations. His award-winning work includes the aerial photography series Georgia Has a Coast and the Southeast Emmy-nominated conservation film Seeding for the Future, created in partnership with the St. Simons Land Trust.
