Amari Mitnaul is an Atlanta-based illustrator whose work draws inspiration from the rich history of visual storytelling across literature, editorial illustration, and contemporary graphic narratives. Influenced by both mid-century illustration and modern graphic novels, Mitnaul creates imagery that bridges nostalgic visual language with contemporary character-driven storytelling.

Her practice reflects a deep appreciation for artists and storytellers of the past while embracing modern illustration techniques and narrative approaches. Through expressive compositions, thoughtful design, and a strong sense of atmosphere, Mitnaul’s work explores the enduring power of illustration as a tool for imagination and communication.

Working as a freelance illustrator, Mitnaul has contributed artwork to projects including the Goodnight Stories for Rebel Girls series and Storytime Magazine, continuing to build a practice rooted in narrative, craft, and visual storytelling.
