Sales & Commission Policy
The Artifice Gallery LLC
Effective Date: March 1st, 2026
1. Purpose
The Artifice Gallery LLC (“The Artifice”) operates as a curatorial platform committed to sustainable artist support, professional exhibition standards, and responsible institutional growth.
To ensure long-term viability and continued programming, The Artifice operates under a below-market commission model.
2. Commission Structure
The Artifice shall retain a commission of:
Thirty-Five Percent (35%) of the final sale price of all works sold through The Artifice.
This commission applies to:

Sales occurring during the exhibition period

Sales initiated through The Artifice and finalized within ninety (90) days following exhibition close

Direct inquiries routed through The Artifice during or immediately following programming
3. Payment to Artists

Artists shall receive sixty-five percent (65%) of the final sale price

Payment will be issued within fourteen (14) days of The Artifice receiving cleared funds from the purchaser

The Artifice does not release artwork to buyers until payment is secured
4. Pricing Integrity
Artists are expected to maintain consistent pricing across platforms during the exhibition period.
The Artifice reserves the right to discuss pricing strategy with participating artists to maintain fairness, transparency, and market consistency.
5. Discount Policy
Any discount offered to a collector must be mutually agreed upon in writing by both The Artifice and the artist.

6. Sustainability Statement
The Artifice operates below standard commercial gallery commission rates (typically 50%) in order to balance artist support with responsible operational sustainability.

Administrative infrastructure

Long-term institutional growth
