Artist Retrieval & Abandoned Work Policy

Effective Date: March 1st, 2026
1. Retrieval Timeline
Upon conclusion of an exhibition:

Artists shall retrieve their work within thirty (30) days

A written reminder will be issued after sixty (60) days if work remains uncollected

Final written notice will be issued at ninety (90) days
2. Transfer of Title
If artwork is not retrieved within ninety (90) days and written notice has been provided, title shall transfer to The Artifice Gallery LLC in accordance with signed exhibition agreements.
3. Post-Transfer Disposition
Following transfer of title, The Artifice may:

Offer the work back to the artist at cost of storage or shipping

Retain the work for storage or institutional consideration

Integrate the work into The Artifice Collection

Donate, sell, or otherwise dispose of the work at its discretion
The Artifice shall not immediately liquidate transferred works solely for short-term financial gain.
4. Storage Disclaimer
The Artifice is not responsible for storage beyond the designated retrieval period and assumes no long-term custodial obligation absent written agreement.
