Vivid Lucidity III

The mirror and the mask. Artists confront themselves directly through the discipline of the self-portrait. Faces emerge not as simple likenesses but as sites of reflection, distortion, confession, and transformation. Each work becomes a moment of confrontation—between artist and image, identity and performance, truth and invention.

Self-portraiture has always occupied a strange threshold in art history. It is both revelation and disguise. The artist looks inward while constructing the image that others will see. In this exhibition, that tension becomes the central stage. Some works search for clarity. Others fracture the image, distort it, or obscure it entirely. What remains is the act of looking back.

Together these works form a chorus of encounters with the self—intimate, uneasy, humorous, vulnerable, and occasionally confrontational

FILM CLUB

Strong Women: Creation, Control, & Survival

This March, Film Club presents women who outthink systems, endure violence, command space, and refuse easy redemption. These films trace strength as something feared, punished, and reclaimed. Some of these women are heroic, some monstrous, some misunderstood, and some are simply finished explaining themselves. Strength here is not aspirational. It is inevitable.
